Limits

  • Drag, resize or nudge the square crop box on the picture to frame the face. Without touching it, "keep this part", zoom and the shift sliders position the crop.
  • "Background" means the fill behind the photo and its shape (and the corners outside a circle). It does not remove the background inside your photo; an AI background remover is planned for AI Lab.
  • JPEG has no transparency, so the area outside the shape is filled with the background colour (white if the background is transparent). Use PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
  • With a shadow on, the shape is made smaller so the shadow fits inside the picture.
  • Colour filters use the browser canvas filter when available and a pixel-by-pixel version otherwise.
  • Animated GIFs keep only their first frame. HEIC/HEIF photos are not readable by most browsers.
  • Everything runs on your device; images are never uploaded.
