Limits

  • Converting JPEG to PNG does not restore quality that JPEG already discarded; the file may get bigger.
  • JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a solid colour (white unless you choose another).
  • WebP is offered only when your browser can write it.
  • Animated GIFs keep only their first frame. HEIC/HEIF photos are not readable by most browsers; export them as JPEG first.
  • Everything runs on your device; images are never uploaded. Very large batches may be slow on phones.
